While on the mats with us you will learn and apply multiple "Hard-Soft" self-defence techniques, it is always good to be able to review some of these techniques offline, when you have some time, to work on details, for maximised performance.
For this you can click on the button below to view and access some of the Training Videos of the Australian Hapkido Association (AHA).
They cover Defence Patterns & Drills, and some of the key kicks you will be working on and perfecting with us.
You will learn and work on different types of Kicks, Punches & Strikes focusing on both power and speed
You will learn Joint Locks, Blocks, Throws, Swipes, and defence against attacks/weapons such as grabs, knives, sticks etc.
You will learn different types of break falls to protect your body in case you fall or are thrown by your attacker
You will spar with fellow trainees, in a friendly and safe environment, to put into practice what you have learned
You will learn different patterns and drills: they are designed to teach you how to apply long-range and short-range defence techniques in a controlled environment
You will learn how to use objects around you (e.g. sticks, magazines, belts, scarves etc.) and turn them into defence weapons if you are attacked
Each Training Session lasts between 75-90 minutes: during this time you will be pushed physically and mentally, giving you a great cardio, strength and mobility workout
You will learn how to breathe and calm your body and mind down
